Penny Postcards is a whimsical site that features classic postcards all dating back to pre-1940. These postcards are divided by state and then by county/parish. If you click on Louisiana you will see there are unfortunately only a few from our great parish. They are looking for more additions, so if you have any postcards tucked away, you can scan them and send the image in to be added to the collection.
The postcard images present scenic landscapes and local landmarks from all over the country. My particular favorites are those from New Orleans, featuring vibrant colors and street scenes. Take a browse around the site and return to the halcyon days of penny postcards.
