Empty Bowls Baton Rouge 2017

Empty Bowls is an international project created to fight hunger and personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level. This event will take place in Baton Rouge on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the East Baton Rouge Parish Main Library on Goodwood Boulevard, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This unique fundraising effort offers access to hundreds of handcrafted ceramic bowls from local artists, followed by a simple meal for lunch. Tickets are $20.00 and will include one ceramic bowl of your choosing as well as lunch provided by local participating restaurants and chefs. Additional bowls can be purchased at the event.

There will also be live music, activities for kids, and children ages 12 and under will eat free. This is a great community event and proceeds from Empty Bowls are devoted to fighting hunger through the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.   1. Can you just purchase a bowl that day with out the food portion? And with out buying a ticket in advance? I would like to come by and purchase a bowl or two that day but cannot stay to eat. Thank you

    1. You will need a ticket, but that will get you any bowl of your choice as well as lunch. You are not required to stay for lunch, and you can buy as many additional bowls as you would like while you are there.
