Operation Photo Rescue

Mark your calendar now! The East Baton Rouge Parish Library is partnering with Operation Photo Rescue to help those affected by the Great Flood of 2016 recover lost memories. Operation Photo Rescue has helped after Hurricane Katrina and more recently after horrific storms and flooding in West Virginia. Patrons are invited to the Main Library at Goodwood from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday, April 21, and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, to have up to 20 flood-damaged photos scanned and digitally restored to as close to pre-disaster quality as possible, all totally free of charge. Experienced volunteers from Operation Photo Rescue will be available to help you recapture your memories and answer any questions you may have about recovering damaged images. You will take home the originals and the restored prints will be sent to your address within six to 12 months. For more information and to schedule an appointment with Operation Photo Rescue, call (225) 231-3752.
