Henry Watson: My Life and Art

When Louisiana artist Henry Watson sees an old cypress board, he doesn’t just see a piece of wood – he sees a story! Adults are welcome at the Main Library at Goodwood at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, for a FREE presentation led by Watson as part of the Special Collections Lecture series about what inspires his art and life. Watson has been making stories come to life through his art for more than 30 years, and his three-dimensional bas-relief creations made from aged cypress wood can be found in museums, galleries and private homes, plus in the Baton Rouge Room Archives at the Main Library.
