The International Children’s Digital Library (ICDL) is a non-profit online library of children’s books. It has over 3800 books available in 53 different languages! The books come from all over the world providing insight into different cultures and are great fun for children and adults alike.
The site is easy to use, kid friendly and the pages of digital books appear as they would in print, complete with the original illustrations. Have a browse around and you’ll find some great stories!
I love to look at the old out of print books’ illustrations. They are so fascinatingly different from the styles used today.
