Building Common Ground

As part of a grant the library has been awarded called Building Common Ground: Discussions of Community, Civility, and Compassion, we will be hosting special community programs from April to November. Here are the Building Common Ground events for April:

Capital Area United Way Volunteer Fair. Saturday, April 14, 11:00am-3:00pm, Bluebonnet Regional Branch. Capital Area United Way focuses on four building blocks for improving people’s lives: education, income, health, and basic needs. People interested in helping can register to volunteer in a number of capacities. For more information please call 763-2250.

Twelve Steps to a Compassionate Life Book Discussion. The first meeting of this monthly book will be on Monday, April 23, 7:00pm, at the Main Library. For more information please call 231-3710.

Multi-Cultural Festival: Exploring Other Cultures. Saturday, April 28, Noon-4pm. Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch. An afternoon of food, fun and activities! To participate or to find more information please call 274-4440.
