As part of the Louisiana Bicentennial celebrations, join us for this year’s Readings in Literature and Culture program (RELIC). Dr. Charles Elliot from Southeastern Louisiana University will introduce and lead discussions on the Louisiana Purchase. The six-week reading and discussion program will take place on Thursday evenings at the Main Library, 7:00pm, from April 12-May 17.
Readings will be done with Jon Kukla’s A Wilderness So Immense: The Louisiana Purchase and the Destiny of America, and Stephen Ambrose’s Undaunted Courage: Meriwether Lewis, Thomas Jefferson, and the Opening of the American West. For more information about the program, please visit our Louisiana Bicentennial InfoGuide. We’d love for you to attend this fascinating program. Please call 939-3896 to register or email ccarroccio@brgov.com.
This program is funded by the East Baton Rouge Parish Library and the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities.
