The Staffordshire Hoard is the largest ever find of Anglo-Saxon gold and silver consisting of over 1500 items. Remarkably this was discovered by an amateur metal detector enthusiast on farmland. The Hoard site displays this historic haul which could date back as far as the sixth century.
