We’re pleased to announce the addition of Treehouse, a great tech resource that offers a fast, easy way to learn how to code, make apps, and start a business. You can learn how to create apps for iPhone and Android devices and create web apps using PHP and Ruby on Rails. The Treehouse Course Library contains over 100 courses and hundreds of hours of video. Filter by topic, search keywords, or see what’s new. There are courses on:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- WordPress
- Ruby on Rails
- PHP
- App Development for iOS and Android
- Web Design
There are also different tracks you can follow, perfect for preparing for a job in the tech industry. The tracks are guided sets of content that will help you become a web designer or design an iPhone app. If you thrive by a more structured environment, this would be a good option for you.
You can always browse the Library to learn about a specific skill or program. Another fun feature is the points! You earn points as you complete Code Challenges, Quizzes, Courses, and Tracks. You can keep track of your points on your dashboard.
Signing up is quick and easy: simply click the Treehouse link from our Digital Library and then click “sign up” in the top right corner. Fill in your information including your library card number (all 14 digits, no spaces), create a password, and you’re in!
