The Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) has recently launched and it’s an exciting project. The mission of the Digital Public Library of America is to bring together the riches of America’s libraries, archives, and museums, and makes them freely available to the world. Through the DPLA you can access millions of photographs, manuscripts, books, sounds, moving images, and more. As well as this you’ll find featured exhibitions, a really neat timeline search feature, a map search and apps.
It’s a wonderful collaborative effort, continually growing and evolving, and a valuable resource worth exploring.
