With all this stormy weather, it’s easy to feel like we’re all going to be trapped in our houses until they melt (or we do). Take in a change of scenery and a little mental vacation by moving your indoor crew to the library to watch a family-friendly movie.
In addition to Movie Nights every Friday in June (held in the Large Meeting Room when the weather is…like this), this month also has:
- Sunday movie matinees, Jones Creek Branch, Sundays from 3:00-5:00 PM
- TGIF Movie Matinee @ the Library, Jones Creek Branch, Fridays from 1:00-3:00 PM
- Brown Bag Movies, Bluebonnet Branch Children’s Department, Wednesdays from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM
- Throwback Thursday Movie Night, Main Library, first Thursday of every month from 6:30-8:30 PM
- Baton Rouge Film Club, Greenwell Springs Road Branch, second Monday of every month from 6:00-8:00 PM
- Teen movie features, almost every weekday at various branches and times
- Novac Teen Film Camp – call 225-231-3770 for more information and to register
If none of the movies we’re showing are ones you want to put in front of your face, check out our A/V collection – it’s pretty extensive. We’ve also got the Criterion Collection, InstantFlix, Screening Room, and Overdrive, which, frankly, does everything but make you a sandwich. Of course, we’ve always got books, too!
