Astronomer and former NASA consultant Kevin Manning will be at the Main Library at Goodwood from 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday, June 23, to lead a special presentation for all ages on the size and scale of the universe. Manning has always been passionate about astronomy, and wants to share the excitement! Attendees will learn about the stars and other celestial wonders using hands-on activities and a variety of visuals. After the program, we’ll go up to the Library’s third floor terrace at 8 p.m. for a whole hour of viewing the sky with a telescope. Stick around to find out what it takes to check out the Library’s professional grade telescope for viewing at home!
