The Jones Creek Regional Branch Library is slated for a major renovation! The Cockfield Jackson architectural firm has been selected to design and oversee this capital project. As with other construction projects, we are soliciting your input.
Residents throughout the community are invited to participate in an informal architectural charrette at the Jones Creek Regional Branch from 4 until 5:30 p.m. Thursday, August 10. We also will host a formal presentation from 6:30 until 8 p.m. the same day. Members of the architectural team along with Library staff will be present to share and explain the initial concept designs for the project and to gather public feedback.
This project derives from the Branch Renovation Assessment Study used during the 2015 millage tax election. The Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch Library renovation project and Jones Creek Regional Branch Library project are first to be planned because they are the oldest branches in need of renovation. The project will be phased over approximately 18 months, to minimize disruption to patrons.
