‘Queer’ History Film Series is an exploration into the LGBTIQA+ history influence, politics and gaiety throughout the ages. In partnership with Baton Rouge Pride, this series will feature a different film on the last Sunday of each month, continuing this month at the Main Library at Goodwood on Sunday, September 24 at 6 p.m. with The Same Difference Gender Roles in the Black Lesbian Community (2105, Unrated). “A compelling documentary about lesbians who discriminate against other lesbians based on gender roles. Director Nneka Onuorah takes an in-depth look at the internalized hetero-normative gender roles that have become all too familiar within the African American lesbian and bisexual community.” -Kanopy
