Book Discussion with Author Faye Philips

The East Baton Rouge Parish Library Special Collections Department will host a free book discussion for adults featuring Baton Rouge Cemeteries author Faye Phillips. You can learn about the history of some of Baton Rouge’s oldest cemeteries at the Main Library at Goodwood, 7711 Goodwood Blvd., at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 18.

About the Author and Book

Author and historian Faye Phillips is a former associate dean of libraries at Louisiana State University, and has written several books about Baton Rouge. Phillips’ Baton Rouge Cemeteries is a part of the Images of America book series. It also is one of her more popular works.

 

Other Baton Rouge history titles include The LSU Rural Life Museum and Windrush Gardens:  A Living History; and, as coauthor, The Golden Band from Tiger Land:  History of the Louisiana State University BandBaton Rouge, another in the Images of America series; and Baton Rouge:  An Illustrated History.  She is the General Editor of the West Baton Rouge Historical Association’s The History of West Baton Rouge Parish: People, Places, Progress.
