GIS DAY Louisiana!

GIS stands for geographic information systems. GIS Day is a grassroots educational event created and promoted by the GIS company Esri that enables GIS users and vendors to open their doors to schools, businesses and the general public to showcase real-world applications of GIS. Join us Wednesday, November 14th, at the Main Library on Goodwood, for a community-based speaker event promoting Louisiana careers in geography! The event runs from 4-6 PM and is free and open to the public.

Representatives from various groups and organizations will be at the Library to discuss topics pertaining to geographic information systems. Check out the GIS Day program schedule below:

• Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO)
