Renovation Process/Phased Construction

To minimize closures, construction will be done in two phases over 18 months. During each phase, a large portion of the building will be closed so that construction can take place in that specific area, while other areas remain open to the public to access books, the audio/visual collection and technology. A portion of the adult/teen book collection will be temporarily stored offsite. High-demand circulating items will remain on site. Because this will be an active construction site, not only will space be limited for programs, computer use and quiet study, but at times there also will be noise and other distractions. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience. Meeting Rooms also will be renovated; use will be limited. At times, restrooms will be unavailable but substitute facilities will be provided. Parking will be reduced during construction. Again, we apologize for this temporary inconvenience.
